Submission Guidelines

Author Guidelines for JGED

The Journal of General Education (JGED) welcomes original and high-quality scholarly manuscripts that contribute to interdisciplinary knowledge across education, science, technology, and society. Authors are advised to carefully read and follow the submission guidelines to ensure a smooth review and publication process. Manuscripts that do not conform to the journal's requirements may be returned to authors for revision before peer review.

All submissions must be prepared in accordance with the ethical standards of academic publishing and must comply with the journal's formatting, stylistic, and bibliographic requirements.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to confirm that their manuscript complies with all of the following conditions. Submissions that do not adhere to these requirements may be returned to the authors for correction before further consideration.

The manuscript is original, has not been previously published, and is not under consideration by another journal (unless a clear explanation is provided in the Comments to the Editor).

The submission file is prepared in Microsoft Word.

Where available, URLs or DOIs have been provided for all references.

The manuscript text uses a 12-point standard font, is single-spaced, and employs italics rather than underlining (except for URLs).

All tables, figures, and illustrations are embedded in the text at appropriate locations, rather than placed at the end of the document.

The manuscript follows the stylistic, structural, and bibliographic guidelines outlined in the Author Guidelines of JGED.
